VANITY LAB

Your name inside your address.

Searches for a Solana keypair whose address starts or ends with the text you choose. Everything runs in your browser.

No network requests: enforced by the page's security policy

PATTERN

DIFFICULTY & PROGRESS

Expected attempts: —Speed: —Total: 0ETA: —

Each extra character makes the search roughly 58 times longer (a bit less when ignoring case). In a browser, 3–4 characters is realistic. For longer patterns use the command line tool below. These numbers are estimates: the search is a lottery, so the real time can be much shorter or longer.

FASTER: COMMAND LINE

solana-keygen grind --ends-with pump:1

Runs locally, written in Rust, and is far faster than a browser. Requires the Solana CLI.

Guide: from idea to launch

A vanity address is a Solana address that contains text you chose, like Nova… or …pump. It is purely cosmetic: it does not make a token safer, better or more valuable.

1. Choose a pattern

Addresses use base58: letters and digits except 0, O, I, l. Every extra character multiplies the work by about 58.

CharactersAverage attempts (case-sensitive)Where to search
2~3.4 thousandBrowser, instant
3~195 thousandBrowser, seconds
4~11 millionBrowser, minutes (varies by device)
5~656 millionCommand line
6+~38 billion and upCommand line, powerful machine

Ignoring letter case makes it faster. These are averages: luck can make a search much shorter or longer.

2. Generate the keypair
  • In the browser: use the generator above. Everything runs locally.
  • On your computer (faster): install the Solana CLI and run, for example:
    solana-keygen grind --starts-with Nova:1 --ignore-case
    solana-keygen grind --ends-with pump:1
3. Save the key safely
  • Download keypair.json and keep a copy on an offline drive.
  • Never screenshot it, email it, or paste it into a website, a chat or an AI assistant.
  • Until a token exists at this address, anyone who has the key can create one there before you.
4. Verify the address

Run solana-keygen pubkey keypair.json. The output must match the address shown by the generator exactly, character for character.

5. Create the token with that address

The token's address is its mint. Creating the token needs two signatures: your wallet (the creator) and the mint keypair you just generated. After creation the mint keypair no longer controls the token: that is done by the separate mint authority.

  • Plain SPL token with the CLI: spl-token create-token keypair.json
  • Launchpads such as pump.fun: their websites normally generate the mint themselves. Third-party SDKs and APIs exist that accept a custom mint keypair, but they are unofficial and change often, so read the code and docs yourself.
  • Other launchpads (for example Stonk.fun): check with the platform whether a custom mint is supported before you plan around it. Many launch settings cannot be changed afterwards.

Do it safely: use a fresh wallet holding only the SOL you need, sign on your own machine, never give your wallet's private key to any website or hosted API, and simulate the transaction before sending it.

6. After launch
  • Open the token on a block explorer (such as Solscan) and confirm the address matches.
  • Check the mint and freeze authorities. If you promise a fixed supply, revoke them and say so.
  • Post the address only from your official accounts and state that it is the only official one.
  • Nobody legitimate will ask for your key or seed phrase. Never DM it, never accept it.
  • If the address is not used as a wallet, you may delete the key file once the token exists. Otherwise keep it offline.

Safety & FAQ

Does a vanity address make a token more trustworthy?

No. Scammers can generate the same patterns. Always verify tokens on an explorer, check authorities and holders, and never trust a token because of how its address looks.

Can I imitate another wallet or token?

Don't. Copying the start and end of someone else's address is how address-poisoning scams work, and imitating a token misleads buyers.

Is this safe to use?

The page makes no network requests and runs in your browser, but you should still generate keys on a device you trust. For an address that will hold real funds, use the command line tool.

Any promises about price or returns?

None. Launching a token carries financial and legal risk, and rules differ by country. Check the regulations where you live. This is not financial or legal advice. Vanity Lab is independent and not affiliated with any launchpad.
